Job Description - Service Engineer

Job Responsibilities –

• Responsible for generate weekly, monthly, and 3 monthly forecasts and plans so alignment with understanding can be maintained.
• Achieving the Contract KPI and manage equipment maintenance plans/ Supervision and supply follow-up with review for non-conformance to plan with reasons and actions for misalignment to be rectified.
• Lead and develop a safe, effective, motivated, and productive team.
• Development of people through training on and off the job.
• Create a succession planning strategy for future security and prosperity using tools such as performance evaluations.
• Build and maintain proactive and productive internal and external relationships.
• Continually ensuring that the service delivered is aligned with the contract and EPIROC guidelines as detailed in project contract.
• Maintain a solid culture of Safety Health, Quality and Environment above all else along with a strong environmental responsibility.

• Executing PM activities schedules
• Enter equipment hours daily.
• Correct Measuring points - change out hour meter readings.
• Scoping Resources (personnel, cranes, timeframe) correctly for each job with details, parts etc
• Scheduled PM Non-conformance reporting
• MSR (Warranty) Forms , weekly, Monthly Report - collation of information for planning Gantt chart
• Daily Shift Maintenance Report.
• Schedule Component change-outs.
• PM schedule and planned jobs compliance.
• Weekly, monthly, and 3 monthly Maintenance Plan.
• Driving Focus Improvement Projects to increase machine reliability

Experiences

• Min 5yrs planning experience with a Underground Equipment maintenance and operation
• Experience on LHD and LPDTs is a must.
• Exposure to planning shutdowns and larger projects with increased resources being introduced.
• Ability to resource plan
• Sound planning skills for fleets of up to 25 units.
• Understanding of a parts inventory system, Min, Max guidelines

Competencies

• Good communication skills oral & written.
• Sound report writing skills.
• Ability to create equipment backlog regimes, update, and monitor.
• Understanding equipment reliability and availability requirements and implications
• Ability to perform Pareto analysis

Skills 

• Knowledge on Operations and Maintenance of LHD and LPDT
• Hands on experience on Major components like Engine, Transmission, Axles, Hydraulics , Electricals and Electronics.
• Planning and Forecasting
• MS office and presentation skills
