Job Title- Engineer - Production (Rotary)

Job Responsibility –

  • Output of all Turning, Milling, Pressing and machining operations being performed.
  • Implement and maintain the Processes and Documentation as per ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, 45001:2018 Systems and meet all the requirements of API Certification
  • Quality Assurance for all the operations being performed.
  • Planning of operations to maximize the utilization of machines, equipment, manpower etc.
  • Running machining operations as per EMS and ES guidelines.
  • Leading the team of Technicians to handle the operations and processes effectively and efficiently.
  • Improvements in the machining operations to reduce pk.
  • Procurement of tools, inserts, welding and product spares required for all operations.
  • Monitoring the Productivity and providing the information to the management.
  • Movement of material from one work center to another work center as per shop traveller and as per process requirements.
  • Ensuring the employees are operating the equipment safely as per work instructions.
  • Interaction with Production planning, purchasing, maintenance, D&D and Quality for day-to-day operations.
  • Implementing QET Projects as per guidelines
  • Implementing the various development projects running in Hyderabad Plant as a member.
  • Implementing the IMS System in Welding section, which is a special process and adhering to all the process requirements including validations.
  • Identifying and proper disposal of non-conforming product.
  • Implementation of Corrective and Preventive actions for the non-conformances observed.
  • Entries in Movex for machining operations.
  • Implementing the Q Nova Workflows for smooth IMS functioning in machine shop section.
  • Attending daily production meeting for discussing the priorities, issues.
  • Attending daily NC Review meeting for discussing the root cause, Corrective actions etc.
  • Training of subordinates in machine shop line.
  • Attending the various training programs as decided by management and self to improve the 24. Attending and working as per outcome of various meetings like safety, with employees, projects and management review meetings.
  • Proving of various programs on CNC machine whenever there is new product is to be machined.

  • Participate in Planned workplace inspections, Risk Assessment, near miss reporting, accident investigations.
  • Ensure closure of Planned Workplace Inspection action points by the factory team pertaining to engineering by mobilizing resources and tracking action.
  • Encouraging safe behaviour in the team.
  • Undertaking periodic training in safe work practices, system requirements to operating colleague and, where necessary, re-training.
  • Participating in the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures and other operating procedures related to their work.

  • Cost strategy with regard to waste, conversion, operating consumables
  • People development, including implementation of rigorous performance appraisal (KPI's), closure of PDP process and training system for Blue Collared Workmen in Assessable Section.

Education Qualification and Experience

Educational: B. Tech - Mechanical. Experiential: 5 to 6 years in Production engineering and methods in Manufacturing Industry, such as Mining, Auto & Engineering.

Knowledge & skills:

  • Manufacturing Principles
  • CNC turning & Auto-cad
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge in planning & organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
