Team Leader - Indirect Purchase

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE / FUNCTIONAL CONTEXT:
The position is responsible for procurement of Indirect material and relevant services for the site and the inbound process. This will also include selection and evaluation for vendors, stabilization of vendor relationships and performance monitoring and Risk assessment of the vendors for the allocated commodity. Work closely with the relevant set of suppliers to integrate Supplier and Epiroc processes to drive improvement in efficiency and effectiveness in Supplier performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and procurement of allocated commodities (Indirect Purchasing)(CAPEX, OPEX, Consumables).
- Technical feasibility of indirect purchasing assets & consumables along with Commercial negotiations (long term agreement)
- Long term material and capacity planning for the commodity by getting inputs from respective departments (Design, Production, Maintenance, PED, Quality , HR etc)
- Price negotiations basis commodity movement based on Materail knowledge & ability to analyze the cost structure with market intelligence.
- Data Analytical skills to manage & control APV of 100 Cr approx.
- Releasing of Purchase Order and ensure the material availability including warranty, commissioning terms & policies .
- Strategic Sourcing for high capex value( import & domestic )
- Identify the source for quality, capabilities, consistence, Capacity and delivery.
- New Supplier evaluation/Re-evaluation basis the criteria defined in IMS.
- Interact with Design/Engineering/Production/Quality regarding design updated and quality assurance.
- Contract negotiations.
- Shortlisting of vendor based on evaluation findings.
- Productionize the vendor with due sample product approvals from CFT.
- Drive cost saving projects in allocated commodities
- Inventory Management as per KPI target set against COGS.
- Review of payment terms with the suppliers for the optimum ease of cash flow.
- Collaboration with Global category managers through scheduled connects for respective categories.
12. Supplier Management & Performance Evaluation:
- Management of Vendor Contract Documentation.
- Vendor contract reconciliation - Advances, payments.
- No dues verification at annual frequency.
- Vendor feedback in line with SHEQ requirements.
- Supplier performance management (QCDS).
13. Digital Platform usage
- Effective usage of Order Flow management through Pipe Chain EDI for Inventory purchases.
- Effective usage of RFQ and Supplier Audit controls through Supplier Collaboration Portal (SCP) in co-ordination with global category manager.
- Update the cost savings planned and implemented in Coupa.
- Effective usage of Quote approval portal for price approvals.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Educational: B. Tech - Mechanical / MBA
Experiential: Preferably 7-8 years of relevant experience in Procurement Role.
