Are you ready?

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join the Human Resources (HR) Department at Epiroc Turkey, residing in İstanbul. The position will report to the HR & SHEQ Manager of Epiroc Turkey &ME.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive short, medium, and long-term purchasing strategies.
  • Assess supply risks and devise contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, fostering sustainable procurement practices.
  • Directly manages reporting colleagues by setting operational and strategic goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing regular feedback. In addition to guiding the team, suggesting and implementing decisions, and monitoring performance, also actively contributes to daily operations as "playing coach".
  • Formulate and oversee the purchasing budget, ensuring adherence and optimal allocation of resources.
  • Conduct thorough cost analyses to identify and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings.
  • Establish and enforce rigorous supplier selection criteria and conduct regular audits.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, managing the end-to-end procurement process and actively contribute to day-to-day operational work.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports to senior management on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in cost analysis and budget management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital procurement processes and tools.
  • Professional English knowledge is preferred
