Direct Sourcing for Southeast Asia Region (SEA) 

Mission:

To be a Customer oriented Strategic Buyer that provides Epiroc with an optimized supplier base for local parts, to support Epiroc business goals & strategies. As Strategic Buyer at the Southeast Asia (SEA) Customer Center (South-SEA and North-SEA), deliver operational excellence by maintaining strategic purchasing records and follow up of supplier performance.

 

Main Accountabilities: 

  • For local parts locate best sources and negotiate pricing to achieve goals of quality, delivery, and cost. 
  • Be supplier responsible for local part suppliers including supplier performance development, negotiations etc.
  • Collaborate with sourcing contact persons representing Epiroc Divisions to secure compliance to global requirements, category strategies and guidelines.
  • Secure that supplier base for local parts fulfils the corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards of the Epiroc group.
  • Initiate and complete administrative requirements such as loading quotations, submitting standard cost changes, and other actions as required to ensure parts and pricing are available.
  • Ensure timely and efficient execution of RFQs and provide prompt responses to internal customer requirements and generate required sourcing reports.
  • Take ownership and drive sourcing related master data eg. weight, CoO, standard delivery time, etc. and make sure all master data related to Sourcing is 100% updated.
  • Manage the preparation and generation of supplier contracts, including reviewing commercial terms and coordinating with relevant functions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with Epiroc standards, policies, and requirements compliance.
  • Assist in risk management activities related to supplier capability, delivery, and market volatility.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in handling supplier communications, quotation evaluations, contract administration, and purchase order/contract management.
  • Experience in managing procurement activities across multiple countries or regions is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to supporting business operations within the Southeast Asia (SEA) region, including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Laos, will be an advantage.
  • Awareness of Integrated Management Systems (IMS), including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, supplier management, and commercial contract administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and coordinate procurement activities across the SEA region, considering local business practices, regulatory requirements, and supplier markets in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Laos.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably M3, SAP, or equivalent platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the ability to prepare analyses, reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills, with the ability to objectively evaluate supplier proposals and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of effectively collaborating with regional and local teams, suppliers, and external partners across multiple countries.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, governance, and process discipline.
  • Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic regional environment.
  • Demonstrates integrity and commitment to Epiroc's Code of Conduct, ethical business practices, and sustainability principles.
  • Strong customer service mindset, teamwork orientation, and a continuous improvement approach.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the SEA region.
  • Willing and able to work closely with stakeholders across the Southeast Asia (SEA) region and accommodate regional business needs, including occasional travel when required.
