SSEA Regional Business Line Manager Surface

Ensure and safeguard sustained market share growth of the Surface Division across all operated segments within the South–Southeast Asia (SSEA) region, while strengthening its position as market leader and maintaining performance within the Group’s defined profitability targets.
Main Accountabilities:
- Accountable for driving business development of the Surface Drilling Division across the SSEA region, with a strong focus on customer-centricity, agility, and operational efficiency.
- Responsible for achieving and maintaining targeted Profit and Contribution Gross Profit (CGP) levels across all Surface Drilling entities within the region.
- Proactively develop and execute effective marketing and product strategies to grow the Surface Drilling business and achieve defined profitability targets.
- Partner closely with Territory Managers, Business Line Managers (BLMs), Operations Managers, and IDS Managers to ensure strong territory management, efficient processes, and a superior customer experience—leveraging automation, digitalization, and zero-emission solutions as core offerings.
- Develop and deploy product and solution communication strategies to reinforce positioning as a technology leader and preferred partner in the region.
- Monitor, analyze, and drive key business performance metrics including OR, OI, CGP, FC, HC, NWC, Orders Lost, and Business Forecasting, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proactive and transparent communication with Customer Centers (CC) teams regarding technical issues, delivery status, and customer feedback/complaints.
- Actively contribute to and lead inputs for the region’s annual business planning and budgeting processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in collaboration with Territory Managers and BLMs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team by ensuring the right talent is in the right roles and fostering a culture of performance and engagement.
- Manage performance and development talk (PDT) processes, including salary reviews and KPI/variable compensation target setting, in line with governance principles (e.g., grandparent principle).
- Ensure effective management of working capital components, including rental assets, inventory, and receivables.
- Develop insights on market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and strengthen market positioning.
- Support initiatives to increase market share across mining companies, contractors, and infrastructure/construction segments.
- Lead Business Review Meetings with the Division, ensuring alignment on performance, priorities, and corrective actions.
- Champion a “Safety First” culture while accelerating transformation initiatives, including sustainability and digital adoption.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic product management, marketing, or business development, preferably within the capital equipment industry.
- Proven track record in developing and growing business for capital equipment products and/or relevant market segments.
- Strong exposure to SSEA market dynamics, with hands-on experience managing customer behaviors and expectations across Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
- Demonstrated expertise in territory management and key account management, with solid commercial acumen.
- Practical experience in mining and/or construction applications is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Solid understanding of commercial processes, documentation, and industry best practices.
- Good command of business and financial metrics, including key performance ratios and fundamental business indicators.
- Excellent proficiency in English (written, verbal, and reading comprehension).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
