Our Parts & Services APAC Division is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and develop our SSEA Customer Center - covering Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore - towards revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, and capital efficiency targets.

 

 

About the role

 

As General Manager, your mission is to build an effective and sustainable organization while delivering on and executing the Epiroc strategy to win the market for Epiroc.

 

You will foster a stable and cost-efficient regional operation, responsible for selling and supporting Epiroc products and promoting Epiroc values. You will grow a transparent and ethical organization that meets or exceeds all standards put forth by regulatory entities as well as the Epiroc business code of practice. You will ensure that each workshop, branch location, and service agreement have a clear strategy to win, with a tailored portfolio of products that dominate their market segments while still safeguarding maintainability from an aftermarket perspective. Guided by customer centricity, you will drive business growth, ensuring outstanding customer experience and a strategic approach towards expanding market share.

 

You will develop a succession plan for the Epiroc SSEA region, you will raise the next generation of highly skilled and competent leaders and experts for global operations, fostering and improving the diversity of our leadership team. Harnessing the unified and collaborative team spirit between countries and preventing the creation of silos will always be high on your agenda.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Implement the Group’s safety culture and reinforce it.  “Zero Accident” culture and “Safety First” program will help you meet the target for Health and Safety and continuously maintain good safety performance.
  • Make sure your organization develops and promotes a Customer Centric and Customer-Care driven culture to support the group’s vision of being our customer’s chosen productivity partner.
  • Build the Epiroc brand in SSEA region - we should be a magnet for talent as well as a magnet for customers.
  • Develop and execute long-term sustainability roadmaps in alignment with Epiroc's 2030 targets.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing sales organization capable of delivering targets across all business lines: Capital Equipment, Consumables, Parts & Service, and Automation.
  • Lead the Annual Territory Management process, developing and implementing agile plans to proactively respond to market shifts and sales channel dynamics.
  • Optimize operational efficiency by developing lean and accurate administrative and logistic routines, actively seeking automation opportunities.
  • Design and implement a regional distribution strategy that maximizes inventory utilization while minimizing customer lead times and overall transport costs.
  • Safeguard the integrity, transparency, and financial control of all operations in strict adherence to Group standards, procedures, and the Epiroc Code of Conduct.
  • Mentor and develop local managers to foster a high-performing, value-driven organization. Be accountable for attracting, retaining, and empowering a skilled, motivated team with the right capabilities and attitude to fulfil the mission.
  • Develop and drive a talent plan, cultivating the next generation of skilled leaders and experts, enhancing the diversity of our leadership pipeline.

 

 

Experience and requirements:

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar roles and potentially in highly complex matrix organizations. 
  • Previous experience in similar industries is a strong plus. 
  • Proven experience managing and nurturing diverse teams 
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant fields. 
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required, an additional local language is a strong plus.

Up to 40% travel expected
