Vacancy Maintenance Fitter – Hydrabolt X 1

The work performed requires in depth knowledge and experience to perform maintenance on all production equipment in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule , and the ability to communicate effectively and contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Job Title	Maintenance Fitter - Hydrabolt	Reporting to	Mechanical Foreman
Location	New Concept Mining – Aeroton
Purpose of the Job	To perform maintenance on all production equipment in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule. Manages Maintenance Assistants.
Qualification Requirements	Qualified Trade Tested Fitter. 5 years relevant experience in a production/maintenance environment
Knowledge & Experience	Physically fit. Ability to maintain high standard of housekeeping in the work area Good communication skills

Competencies-OTHERS	Delegating responsibility and monitoring outputs, Communicating, listening to and motivating staff, Teamwork

Function	Task
Maintenance operations	Record repair and maintenance machine information
	Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance work
	Observe mechanical operations to determine levels of efficiencies and detect problems
	Supervision of Maintenance Assistants by delegating, monitoring and assisting with maintenance
Maintenance Planning	Liaise with Mechanical Foreman as to when maintenance can be performed
	Acquiring material and spares before performing planned maintenance
	Ensure maintenance tools are adequately maintained and in good working condition
	Perform maintenance on all production equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule
	Adhere to quality standards for all maintenance performed
Environmental, Health and Safety awareness and Housekeeping	Adhere to OHSACT regulations
	Ensure housekeeping of plant and general areas facilitates a tidy, neat environment – this includes cleaning of maintenance equipment
