JOB SUMMARY:

To take leadership in driving the Business Control processes for YieldPoint, supporting and acting as a ”co-pilot” to the General Manager. Responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies, controls and procedures utilized by the company, operational reporting to local management, government, and other external requirements in accordance with the guidelines of the Group. An important part of the role will be liaisons with management at divisional level and group functions. Work with the IT Department to maximize the automation of processes, secure Company information and reduce functional costs. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure submission of financial and management reports (such as NPP, monthly forecasting, monthly report) is in conformance with Group practices and procedures.
  • Cash management planning and reporting.
  • Review, analyze and report of inventory, manufacturing WIP and recommend actions when required.
  • Establish internal control procedures and ensure that good controls are tested and functioning properly.
  • Management of the external audit process including schedule preparation and final reporting.
  • Provide pertinent information/reports for use by all levels of management.
  • Safeguard and manage fixed asset records as required.
  • Preparation of accurate investment proposals including the appropriate follow-up.
  • Assist with strategic planning including SCORECARD reporting. Work with company management in developing strategies and processes to achieve goals and targets.
  • Ensure accounting processes are organized, documented, and adhered to for all accounting processes within the organization.
  • Direct liaison with the management for financial and process related issues. Establishing proper cost centers, cost follow-up and performance report for the Management team.
  • Establish and follow up on all administrative projects and goals to ensure improvement in all phases of Finance.
  • Ensure that the People Management and Development requirements of this position are in conformity to the Epiroc policies & procedures; all personnel shall have missions, job descriptions, training, and appraisals on a periodical basis.
  • Communicate Administrative activities and work together to grow our business.
  • Prepare necessary information for Business Review and CRM Meetings.
  • Communicate appropriate reports and scorecards to GM.
  • Eventually facilitate a smooth transition to our M3 ERP system and ensure integrity of financial data and reporting.
  • Raise “red flags” to management whenever compliance with sound business principles is at risk.
  • Participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute to developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets.

 

INTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Maintain a high level of accounting knowledge (FAM, IFRS and GAAP) with the capacity to develop a solid understanding of our products, the market, the sales process and how these processes work within the structural regulatory framework established within “the way”.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five to Seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid background in Finance / Accounting. Earlier experience in business control is an asset.
  • Experience of working in an international environment and with group reporting.
  • Experience in people management (and management of staff).
  • Experience of ERP systems and ERP rollouts would be considered an asset.
