Join Our Team as a Bit Technician / Surface Delivery at Epiroc!
We are currently seeking a Bit Technician / Surface Delivery for the Rock Drilling Tools business line and we are looking for a team-oriented candidate to join our EPIROC group. Looking for someone able to work Mon – Fri 8-hour days, on-call may be required. This individual is responsible for Sharpening drill bits and Surface Delivery for our customers along with Warehousing
Work Type: Onsite at Kirkland Mine Site
Shift Timings: Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week; on-call may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Reconditioning short-hole bits, Bolting, jumbo which consists of the following procedures: visual inspection, clean, grinding, and painting
- Blade and button bit sharpening
- Repair and service all shop equipment (in house)
- Safeguard assets of the company
- Establish a working relationship with fellow employees
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment both on and off our property
- Monitor & track shop consumables (grinding pins, cut-off wheels, profile tools, etc…)
- Delivery of material to specific customers
- Surface Direct Delivery of Epiroc Product to specific customers
- Warehousing
Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills
- Ambition and motivation to succeed and meet the company’s objectives
- A proven self-starter who requires minimum supervision
- A strong technical background
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Prior shop experience would be an asset
- Mechanical training would be an asset
- Clean Valid driver's license
- Basic computer skills, competence in excel & word documents
- Safeguard assets of the company in general but most specifically those within your areas of responsibility
- Establish a working relationship with fellow employees
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment both on and off our property
- Delivery of both new and reconditioned material to specified customers
- Good communication skills
- Warehousing background

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions, with occasional exposure to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and the risk of electrical shock.
