Business Development Manager-Ore Body Solutions (DRC)

The Business Development Manager – Ore Body Solutions is responsible for growing a profitable business and increasing market share for exploration drilling equipment and consumables in the DRC, aligned with the Epiroc Surface Division strategy. The role supports local Customer Center sales teams, providing technical guidance, product training, and application support across exploration drilling solutions.
Working closely with customers, the role identifies equipment and consumables opportunities, manages the full sales cycle from quotation to order closure, and ensures strong aftermarket support. The position requires solid technical expertise in core drilling and reverse circulation (RC) drilling, combined with commercial acumen to deliver integrated solutions, improve fleet productivity, and drive sustainable growth.
Your Mission
- Develop and execute a territory sale and channel strategy to grow market share for exploration drilling equipment and consumables in the DRC.
- Identify, manage, and close equipment and solution sales opportunities in collaboration with customers and local sales teams.
- Drive aftermarket and consumables strategies linked to installed fleets to maximize uptime, performance, and total solution value.
- Lead regional sales and marketing action plans, ensuring execution, follow‑up, and achievement of revenue, margin, and KPI targets.
- Act as the key liaison between Customer Centers and product companies, supporting training, product launches, forecasting, and technical capability.
- Build strong customer relationships through joint visits, presentations, demonstrations, training, and continuous market and performance analysis.
Your Profile:
- 8–12+ years’ experience in the mining, drilling, or exploration industry, including capital equipment and consumables sales.
- Proven success in business development, key account management, or senior technical‑commercial roles within mining environments.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in core drilling and reverse circulation (RC) drilling applications, equipment, and consumables.
- Solid experience managing end‑to‑end equipment sales cycles, including quotation, negotiation, and aftermarket support.
- Strong commercial, financial, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret KPIs, market data, and drive pricing and negotiation strategies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills; proficient in MS Office and CRM systems; fluent in French with a good command of English, with Africa or multicultural field experience as an advantage.
