Are you ready to take on a high-impact leadership role in one of the world’s most demanding underground mining environments? Join Epiroc as the Business Line Manager – Parts & Services, dedicated to supporting the Customer’s mining operation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

 

The Customer operation represents a significant strategic opportunity, with a large underground fleet (100+ machines) and a well-established on-site organization. This role requires a strong leader who can drive service excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth, while leading a sizable and diverse team. This is a standalone business with full P&L ownership, requiring a balance of operational discipline, commercial acumen, and people leadership.

 

Your Mission

 

  • Full P&L ownership for PSD operations at Kamoa, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability improvement, cost control, and KPI governance.
  • Single point of customer accountability, driving long‑term partnerships, customer satisfaction, and growth across services, parts, rebuilds, and value‑added offerings.
  • Operational excellence leadership for a 100+ underground fleet, ensuring best‑in‑class service delivery, equipment availability, TCO optimization, and robust operational processes.
  • People and leadership development, managing ~100 employees, building a high‑performance, inclusive culture, and driving talent development, succession planning, and engagement.
  • Safety and compliance stewardship, championing a zero‑harm culture and ensuring full adherence to safety standards, risk management, and Epiroc’s Code of Conduct.
  • Strategic collaboration and capability building, strengthening technical competencies, training programs, cross‑functional alignment, and integration with capital equipment and regional teams.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • 15+ years of experience in the mining, construction, or heavy equipment industry, with a strong background in aftermarket and service operations.
  • Proven senior leadership experience (3–5+ years) managing large, complex service organizations and teams in demanding operating environments.
  • Demonstrated success in customer relationship management, business growth, and driving profitability; underground mining experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of underground mining equipment and applications, combined with hands‑on problem‑solving capability.
  • Commercial, financial, and stakeholder leadership strength, including negotiation skills and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
  • Engineering degree (mandatory) in Mechanical, Mining, or Electrical Engineering; MBA or postgraduate business qualification advantageous; fluent in English (French a strong advantage).
