We are seeking a highly ethical and experienced Government & Corporate Affairs leader to strengthen and protect Epiroc’s license to operate in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This role is central to ensuring strong alignment between Epiroc policies and the DRC’s regulatory, legal, and compliance landscape, while building trusted relationships with government authorities and key stakeholders. As a strategic advisor to senior leadership, you will navigate governmental affairs with professionalism and honesty, monitor compliance and legal trends, and safeguard Epiroc’s reputation through transparent, responsible engagement. Your Mission

 

  • Lead and sustain effective relationships with government authorities, regulators, and public institutions; represent Epiroc professionally, transparently, and ethically in all official engagements while managing regulatory approvals, permits, and inquiries.
  • Monitor political, legislative, and regulatory developments in the DRC; assess business impact and provide structured, actionable advisory to the General Manager and leadership team.
  • Develop and implement a corporate affairs strategy aligned with business objectives; build strong relationships with industry bodies, chambers of commerce, partners, and key external stakeholders, representing Epiroc in relevant forums.
  • Safeguard Epiroc’s reputation through proactive stakeholder engagement, ethical conduct, issue management, and identification of external political, regulatory, or social risks with mitigation strategies.
  • Champion a strong culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and the Epiroc Code of Conduct across all engagements.
  • Lead and coordinate CSR initiatives aligned with sustainability and community priorities; engage communities and NGOs while partnering closely with legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure coherent execution and value-driven outcomes.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Public Affairs, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years’ experience in corporate affairs, government relations, or public policy, preferably within mining, industrial, or multinational environments.
  • Strong understanding of the political, regulatory, and operating environment in the DRC, with proven engagement at government and senior‑stakeholder level.
  • Demonstrated integrity and sound ethical judgment, with a strong commitment to compliance and responsible business conduct.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing capability, and communication skills across diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with sound judgment, able to operate effectively in complex, dynamic, and evolving environments.
