Your mission as a Field Service Technician
Are you skilled in repairing and maintaining heavy mining equipment? As a Field Service Technician at Epiroc, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our contract machines operate safely, reliably, and to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment, minimizing downtime, and keeping operations running smoothly. In this role, you’ll also support customers with training, promote safe machine usage, and continuously grow your expertise with the latest technologies—making you an essential partner in driving performance, safety, and innovation in mining operations.
What you’ll do
- Carry out daily checks as per checklist, prevent and repair defects.
- Report all major defects to the Site Supervisor.
- Fault find and repair equipment under contract to Epiroc standards.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation (work order, Operator/Mechanical/productivity checklists) is complete as per requirement.
- Ensure that all tools, workshop facility and equipment are used correctly and kept in good working condition.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the workshop.
- Report on incident/accidents damage caused by the client.
- Work shift rosters as required.
- Ensure that customer demands are met in terms of response, service etc.
- Train customers on the operations of machines and their safe usage.
- Continuously develop by taking up training courses on Competence Portal.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Technician / Craft certificate in H.E.R / or any related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on surface drilling mining equipment such as drill rigs, etc.

- Able to identify mechanical problems and apply diagnostic methods to achieve effective results.
- Skilled at interpreting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.
- Effective team player who contributes to collective goals.
- Takes responsibility for own work and supports accountability for others.
- Reliable and capable of working effectively without close supervision
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
