Key Account Manager

Epiroc is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Key Account Manager (KAM) to lead and manage the relationship with one of its most critical mining customers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This role serves as the single point of contact and escalation for all Epiroc-related activities across business lines, including Underground Equipment, Parts & Services, and Tools & Attachments. The role owns the end-to-end customer relationship, acting as the voice of the customer within Epiroc and the face of Epiroc to the customer. This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role requiring strong executive presence, deep understanding of mining operations, and the ability to coordinate multiple internal divisions while maintaining close engagement at site.
Your Mission
- Own and drive the overall account strategy, including long‑term growth aligned to customer and Epiroc objectives.
- Act as the single point of contact, managing senior stakeholder relationships and escalations across all Epiroc divisions.
- Maintain strong site presence with deep understanding of operations, performance, risks, and opportunities across the account.
- Align and coordinate all Epiroc divisions to deliver a unified, customer‑focused and integrated lifecycle approach.
- Identify and convert cross‑selling, upselling, and value‑driven opportunities that improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Lead key commercial engagements, ensure delivery performance, monitor competitors, and promote safety in all interactions.
Your Profile:
- 10–15+ years in the mining, construction, or heavy equipment industry, with a proven track record in key account management or senior commercial roles.
- Strong experience in underground mining operations and managing large, complex customer relationships.
- Demonstrated capability in commercial leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking within demanding environments.
- Excellent ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across multiple business divisions.
- Solid understanding of mining operations, equipment, and aftermarket services; proficient in MS Office and CRM/ERP systems.
- Strong, customer‑centric communication skills; fluent in English, with French an advantage.
- Degree in Mining, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Alternatively, an MBA or equivalent commercial qualification is an advantage.
