Product Reliability and Continuous Improvement Manager

The Product Reliability and Continuous Improvement Manager at Epiroc plays a critical role in enhancing the reliability, availability, and performance of all Epiroc equipment fleets operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This leadership position steers root cause analysis (RCA), continuous improvement processes, key performance indicator (KPI) optimization, technical governance, and cross-functional teamwork to significantly increase equipment uptime, boost mean time between failures (MTBF), reduce mean time to repair (MTTR), and decrease cost per operating hour. By driving these efforts, the Manager directly contributes to improving customer productivity, supporting profitable service operations, and sustaining the high performance of Epiroc's fleet in this important mining region.
Your Mission
- Lead reliability initiatives across all Epiroc fleets in DRC by systematically monitoring KPIs such as availability, utilization, MTBF, MTTR, and operating costs to identify trends, recurring failures, and performance gaps.
- Coordinate and conduct thorough root cause analyses with collaboration from site teams, technical experts, and product companies to diagnose and address equipment issues.
- Define, implement, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions to resolve identified problems and prevent future occurrences.
- Support technical upgrade programs and product improvement initiatives to enhance fleet performance and customer satisfaction.
- Leverage digital tools, machine-generated data, and advanced performance analytics to inform decision-making and optimize fleet operations.
- Engage directly with customers through structured reviews and reporting on fleet performance, ensuring transparency and reinforcing partnerships.
- Ensure all reliability and improvement activities comply with safety regulations, quality standards, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) protocols, customer requirements, and local legislative obligations.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience encompassing mining equipment operations, product support, fleet management, reliability engineering, maintenance management, and continuous improvement projects.
- Preferred experience with underground mining equipment, OEM environments, and African mining operations, reflecting the regional and technical complexity of the role.
- Fluent English and French advantageous.
