The Manager - Rebuild Operations & Business Development (Midlife & Components) is responsible for leading and growing the midlife overhaul and component rebuild business within Parts & Services in DRC.

 

This role combines operational leadership, technical rebuild expertise, and customer-facing business development to drive profitable growth, ensure OEM-quality rebuild execution, and deliver high-value lifecycle solutions to mining customers. The role plays a key part in strengthening Epiroc's aftermarket offering, asset availability, and total cost of ownership reduction for customers.

 

Your Mission

 

  • Identify and convert midlife overhaul and rebuild opportunities by engaging mining customers, proposing value-based solutions, preparing quotations, and building long-term relationships to drive repeat business.
  • Lead end-to-end rebuild execution through effective planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and parts availability to ensure cost-efficient, high-quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Ensure all rebuilds meet OEM standards, oversee quality control, support complex technical troubleshooting, and continuously improve rebuild methodologies to enhance reliability, productivity, and turnaround time.
  • Enforce Epiroc safety standards and regulatory compliance while fostering a strong safety culture across workshops and customer interactions through audits, risk assessments, and disciplined execution.
  • Drive Parts & Services revenue and profitability through pricing support, commercial justification of rebuild scopes, margin optimization, and converting operational capability into profitable lifecycle solutions.
  • Develop capable, accountable, and safety-focused workshop teams while collaborating closely with workshop management, field service, technical teams, and Parts & Services to align customer needs with execution and lifecycle value.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in mining or heavy equipment rebuilds, overhauls, assembly, and maintenance environments.
  • Demonstrated capability in workshop or operations leadership, including planning, execution, and team management.
  • Strong mechanical systems knowledge with the ability to support complex rebuild scopes and technical problem-solving.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical or commercial roles, with strong relationship management, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • High commitment to safety and quality standards, supported by disciplined execution, continuous improvement mindset, and results-driven performance.
