As the Regional Planning Expert – CDO, you will drive inventory optimization across the region by aligning machine fleet insights, customer demand, and supply chain strategy. You will develop and execute inventory plans for Regional and Local Distribution Centers, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time while balancing service levels, customer uptime, and working capital.

 

Working closely with Regional Supply Chain teams and Customer Centers, you will monitor fleet trends, demand patterns, and market dynamics, establish key inventory performance metrics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. As the regional authority on stocking policies and inventory governance, you will ensure alignment with global standards while adapting strategies to local business needs.

 

Your Mission

 

  • Develop and implement regional inventory strategies aligned with corporate goals to optimize inventory investment while maintaining targeted service levels. Analyze machine fleet trends and demand drivers to guide stocking policies and network positioning. Champion ongoing initiatives to enhance inventory productivity and capital efficiency.
  • Manage the optimal product range stocked at Regional Distribution Centers and Local warehouses. Evaluate and approve stocking and assortment changes in line with global procedures. Lead periodic reviews of stocking policies, recommending adjustments reflecting evolving business priorities and market trends.
  • Define and track inventory performance indicators, identify inventory imbalances, service gaps, and obsolete stock. Coordinate cross-functional action plans to enhance service levels while minimizing excess inventory. Provide insightful reporting to regional leadership to guide informed decision-making.
  • Work intimately with Customer Centers, Regional Supply Chain teams, Product Companies, and Global Planning functions to ensure seamless alignment of inventory strategies. Act as a strategic advisor, facilitating discussions around inventory investments, availability targets, and priority settings.
  • Serve as the regional super user and subject matter expert for global inventory management systems. Maintain and optimize replenishment parameters, ensuring compliance with governance standards. Lead efforts to streamline inventory planning processes and improve system functionalities alongside the Supply Chain Planning team.
  • Actively contribute to regional and global supply chain transformation projects including system enhancements, business integrations, divestments, and assortment migrations. Promote adoption of best practices and continuous process improvement.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, demand planning, or logistics.
  • Proven expertise in inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, and complex multi-echelon supply chains.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems, inventory planning tools, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and supply chain analytics.
  • Experience working in regional or global supply chain environments, with knowledge of S&OP, IBP, and spare parts/aftermarket planning considered advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive business-focused decisions.
