The Service Operations Manager – Kamoa Project plays a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of Epiroc's service operations across multiple operational sites within the Kamoa mining area. This position holds full accountability for delivering safe, efficient, and profitable service outcomes that meet and exceed contractual commitments and customer expectations. The role involves maximizing labor utilization, fostering people development, and championing continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring operational excellence aligned with Epiroc's global standards and values.

 

 

Your Mission

  • Oversee all Epiroc service activities at Kamoa, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality maintenance, repairs, commissioning, and technical support.
  • Manage Contracts & Customer Relationships: Take ownership of service contracts, ensure KPI/SLA compliance, manage risks, drive contract growth, and maintain strong customer partnerships.
  • Hold accountability for Service Operations P&L, achieving revenue, profitability, budget, cost control, invoicing, and cash flow targets.
  • Manage manpower planning, labor utilization, timekeeping, resource allocation, and workforce efficiency to maximize service performance and revenue recovery.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing teams through succession planning, training, competency development, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Promote a zero-harm culture, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, monitor operational performance, and provide regular business, financial, safety, and customer satisfaction reporting.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Mining), Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in mining equipment service operations or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • At least 5 years in a management role overseeing large field service teams in the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing service contracts, operational P&L, and workforce planning.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, operational excellence, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience working directly with major mining clients is essential.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory; proficiency in French is preferred.
