Your Mission as a TME Service Technician

Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys keeping critical mining equipment operating safely and efficiently?

As a TME Service Technician, you will support the maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of Boomer M20P drill rigs while working alongside experienced technical specialists. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your underground mining expertise, build technical capability and contribute to world-class equipment performance in a demanding mining environment.

 

What you'll do

  • Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities on Boomer M20P drill rigs to ensure safe, reliable and efficient machine performance.
  • Conduct machine inspections, condition monitoring and daily equipment health checks to proactively identify and address maintenance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems while supporting breakdown response and emergency repair activities.
  • Support machine availability, reliability and productivity targets by executing maintenance work in accordance with Epiroc standards and best practices.
  • Ensure all work orders, service reports, maintenance records and parts usage information are accurately completed and maintained.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, helping to ensure the availability of critical maintenance parts and consumables.
  • Work closely with Senior and Expatriate Technicians to develop technical skills, support knowledge transfer initiatives and continuously improve technical competency.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by participating in toolbox talks, risk assessments and hazard reporting while complying with all Epiroc and site safety requirements.

 

What you'll bring

  • Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Heavy Equipment, Mining Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience maintaining underground mining equipment, with drilling rig or mobile mining equipment experience highly advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, including basic troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new equipment, technologies and maintenance processes.
  • Good planning, problem-solving and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced mining environment.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts and support operational requirements when needed.
