Are you a technically skilled Service Technician who thrives in demanding mining environments and takes pride in keeping equipment performing at its best? Epiroc DRC Sarl is looking for Service Technicians to join our KCC Service Contract team in Kolwezi. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mining equipment to Epiroc standards, combining strong mechanical and diagnostic expertise with an uncompromising commitment to safety, quality, equipment availability, and customer service.

 

As a Service Technician at Epiroc – Kolwezi, DRC, your mission is to ensure that contract equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational by delivering high-quality preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and technical support. You will work closely with customers and the service team to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently while maintaining Epiroc's standards for safety, quality, documentation, and service excellence.

 

Your Mission

 

  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, scheduled checks, and preventive maintenance to identify and prevent potential failures.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults in accordance with Epiroc standards.
  • Accurately complete work orders, equipment checklists, service records, productivity reports, and other required technical documentation.
  • Ensure the correct use, care, and maintenance of tools, workshop facilities, service equipment, and parts while maintaining excellent housekeeping.
  • Provide customers with technical support and guidance on safe and efficient machine operation, while promptly communicating major defects, incidents, or equipment damage.
  • Participate in continuous technical development and remain flexible to work shifts and respond to urgent service requirements when needed.

 

Your Profile

 

To succeed in this role, you should bring strong hands-on technical capability, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.

  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy or mining equipment.
  • Proven ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and other relevant technical schematics and drawings.
  • Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to preventing equipment failures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, accurate documentation, continuous learning, reliability, and flexibility to work according to operational and shift requirements.
