About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and training the national workforce.
What you'll Do
- Perform scheduled services and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
- Report major defects and operator damage to the Site Operations Manager.
- Complete service documentation in line with Epiroc and client standards.
- Assist with in-pit breakdowns and urgent repairs.
- Maintain tools and workshop equipment in safe working condition.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the workshop and work areas.
- Participate in training via the Competence Portal.
- Be available for shift work and after-hours call-outs.
- Carry out other related duties as required.
What You’ll Need
- Technician/Craft Certificate in H.E.R or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experience in surface mining or drill rigs.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, compressors, and underground equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
