Workshop Manager

Join us as a Workshop Manager, where you will play a critical role in leading workshop operations, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality component rebuilds and machine overhaul services. You will be responsible for managing workshop performance, developing technical teams, improving productivity and profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction through safe and efficient service delivery.
Your Mission:
- Lead and manage workshop operations, including component rebuilds, machine overhauls, testing, quality control, and final product release.
- Drive first time-right quality by reducing rework, warranty costs, and repeat component failures.
- Plan and optimize workshop resources, manpower, tooling, test bench capacity, and parts availability to improve productivity and delivery performance.
- Monitor workshop KPIs including revenue, profitability, turnaround time, work-in-progress, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with Epiroc safety standards, quality processes, and technical documentation requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing technical updates, managing expectations, and ensuring service excellence.
- Develop and coach workshop supervisors, technicians, and planners through training, competency development, and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workshop efficiency, reliability, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Your Profile:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, with extensive workshop and maintenance expertise.
- 10 years' experience leading workshop operations within mining, heavy equipment, maintenance, or service environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, optimize workshop performance, and drive safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, cost control, ERP systems, customer service, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
