Quality Technician

Mission of the role:
The role is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all manufactured rock drilling components and repaired rock drills. This includes conducting thorough inspections, maintaining the highest standards across production and repair processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, performance, and compliance with Weco and OEM requirements.
Your Mission:
- Conduct thorough inspections of rock drilling components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to confirm required standards for each component.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of findings and measurements.
- Identify and report non‑conformances or defects in materials and workmanship.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality control processes and reducing defects.
- Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
Your Profile:
- Metal industries trade like Tool, Jig & Die Maker or Turner Machinist
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Additional technical training or certifications in quality control or a related field is preferred
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with quality control software and tools is a plus.
