Strategic Sourcing Manager

Join us as a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will play a critical role in establishing and leading a high-performing sourcing function that supports operational excellence, supply chain resilience, and sustainable business growth. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, optimizing the supplier base, delivering cost improvements, driving localization initiatives, and building a sourcing organization that supports the company's long-term growth ambitions. 

Your Mission:

• Develop and lead the strategic sourcing agenda, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.
• Review, optimize, and strengthen the supplier base to improve quality, delivery performance, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.
• Drive cost-saving and total cost of ownership improvement initiatives through supplier negotiations, sourcing projects, and value engineering activities.
• Establish a fit-for-purpose sourcing structure with clear roles, accountability, and capability development across the sourcing function.
• Lead localization initiatives by identifying, qualifying, and developing capable local suppliers while minimizing supply risks.
• Build strong supplier partnerships and implement robust supplier performance management processes to support underground business KPIs.
• Identify and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risks while ensuring compliance with responsible sourcing, sustainability, and governance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business Leadership teams to support operational excellence and business growth.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
• 8-10 years' experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain leadership roles within mining, manufacturing, engineering, or other heavy industrial environments.
• Proven experience establishing sourcing functions, optimizing supplier networks, and implementing sourcing best practices that deliver measurable business value.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to challenge traditional ways of working and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience with ERP systems, sourcing analytics, supplier performance management, and cost optimization initiatives.
