Mission of the role:


To restore and extend the service life of critical rockdrill components through disciplined, OEM‑standard precision repairs and in‑house tooling solutions that reduce replacement costs, improve underground reliability, and support safe, efficient operations.

 

 

Your Mission:

 

  • Precision Repair & Machining
  • Remove broken or seized fasteners/plugs/parts from critical components without causing secondary damage
  • Perform resleeving, regrinding, and corrective machining to specification in order to extend component/housing life span.
  • Carry out work using a combination of conventional (manual) machining and CNC machining
  • Perform high accuracy bench work, including filing, fitting, hammer and pin punch work where required
  • Work confidently with minimal supervision on expensive, high risk components
  • Measurement, Quality & Control
  • Job Planning & Workflow Management
  • Benchwork

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Trade qualification as a Tool Maker / Machinist (or equivalent experience)
  • CNC and conventional machining including G-coding.
  • Basic Edgecam experience beneficial
  • 3-5 years experience in a rebuild, repair, or heavy engineering environment
  • Advantageous experience includes:
  • Boring mill experience
  • Working in facilities involving hydraulic pressure systems
  • Rebuilding industrial or heavy equipment components
  • Experience working strictly from OEM manuals and engineering documentation
  • Computer literacy
