Join Our Team as a Project Engineering Specialist at Epiroc!
The Project Engineering Specialist is the technical expert responsible for the implementation and support of surface solutions (products) from the respective product lines. The Project Engineering Specialist will take responsibility of the product implementation to the end customer which may include, but not limited to, installation, configuration, customization, commissioning, training, stabilization, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful implementation of surface solutions (products) in our local market
- Answer customer inquiries and help them resolve any issues they may have with the product. They may provide information, troubleshoot problems, or escalate issues to other teams.
- Investigate and diagnose product issues reported by customers. They work closely with engineering and other teams to resolve these problems quickly and efficiently.
- Create and maintain documentation that outlines product usage instructions. This documentation helps customers get the most out of the product and can also be used to train new users.
- Develop project charters, feasibility reports, project management plans, and schedules
- Offer training sessions to customers. These training sessions can help customers learn how to use the product, troubleshoot common problems, and get the most out of the product’s features.
- Collaborate with other teams within the company. They work with sales teams to assist in product demonstrations and presentations. They also work with marketing teams to promote the product to potential customers.
- Will work closely with production and maintenance groups post implementation to ensure ROI is achieved by tracking and evaluating KPI.
- Analyze customer feedback and product usage metrics. This feedback helps them identify areas where the product can be improved and developed.
- Assist with beta testing for new product releases. This enables them to identify and address any issues with the product before it officially gets released to the public.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate projects, ensuring that objectives are achieved efficiently and within designated timelines. This includes planning, resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to deliver successful outcomes.
- Experienced in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues through practical, hands-on approaches. This skill encompasses rapid problem-solving and effective implementation of solutions to maintain operational continuity.
- Proficient in creating Power BI reports that visualize and interpret data for informed decision-making. This includes designing and compiling reports that provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders and project teams.
Knowledge/Education:
- Degree in Mechatronics Engineer, Computer Science or similar
- Project Management experience
- Engineering Technologist with +5 years practical work experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of surface mining operations
- Knowledge of Rig Control Systems, autonomous and remotely controlled systems
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English) is an asset
- Experience with servers and network configurations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Database management (SQL, Tableau, PowerBi, etc)
- Highly developed analytical skills and data interpretation skills
- Microsoft Suite and Cloud knowledge
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel both domestic and international

Expected compensation range: $100,000 - $120,000
