Join Our Team as a Reman Shop Manager  at Epiroc!

Work Type: Onsite

Mission:

To manage overall operations and be responsible for the effective management of labour, productivity, quality control, and safety measures established for the Parts & Services Global Remanufacturing Operations in Sudbury. This position will ensure that operations remain compliant, efficient, and profitable while looking for improvement opportunities..

 

Responsibilities: 

 
  • Ensure plant targets are met (KPI's - utilization, efficiency)
  • Operational budgets
  • Conduct daily/weekly operations meetings
  • Attend and present at monthly management meetings
  • Approvals and decisions for plant requirements (e.g., new tools to purchase for shop)
  • PO, expense, warranty claims, and time approvals
  • P&D review for direct employees
  • Mediator for any employee issues and handles disciplinary actions if needed
  • Collaborate with the Global Reman Continuous Improvement Manager to support the effective implementation of lean program
  • Coordinate with SHEQ team
  • Safety officer – responsible for promoting a safe work environment through enhanced awareness, site audits, facilitating safety meetings, training and recommending corrective action measures to reduce work related injuries
  • Review and approve preferred contractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate with contractors for cleaning, building maintenance and other services
  • Provide input for the review and analysis of products to add/remove from the program
  • Responsible for social committee (plan team building and other employee events)
  • Determine training requirements for employees and ensure all trainings are completed including Safety
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a manager, or a relevant role
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial remanufacturing

 

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

 

  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with budgeting and familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Knowledge of remanufacturing processes and mining equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Social skills and knowledge of active listening
  • Knowledge of conflict management and business negotiation
  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) experience is huge plus
  • Residency or the willingness to relocate to the Sudbury area

Expected compensation range: $115,094.00 - 152,244.00 CAD
