Electrification Specialist

To support this transition, Epiroc Australia is seeking a dedicated Electrification Specialist—a critical technical role supporting the deployment, reliability, and performance of electrified mining equipment across the country.
This position plays a central role across all electrified platforms, with responsibilities spanning operational readiness, project execution, and technical support across internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for battery-electric, hybrid-electric, and electric surface drilling platforms
- Support planning and execution of electrification projects, including new product introductions and diesel-to-electric conversions
- Identify and address support requirements across tooling, diagnostics, air conditioning systems, safety, and training
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards (AS), IEC standards, and electrical safety requirements for both mobile and fixed plant
- Support safe implementation and risk mitigation for dangerous goods (DG) handling and storage
- Coordinate with Capital Equipment, Product Companies, Service, and Marketing teams to ensure end-to-end support for electrified products
- Act as a key technical contact for customer inquiries related to performance, safety, and field reliability
About You
- High voltage electrical qualification – essential
- Experience working on high voltage mobile equipment in mining or heavy industry
- Refrigeration experience (automotive or similar)
- Strong knowledge of AS and IEC standards for mobile and fixed plant equipment
- Understanding of DG handling and storage requirements
- Project management skills, with experience managing technical coordination across multiple stakeholders
- Hands-on problem-solving approach with strong diagnostic abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Well-organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and regional operations as required
