Purpose of the Role: The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Storekeeper will manage inventory levels and will ensure smooth warehouse operations within a VMI system.

*What is Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)?  VMI is a supply chain strategy where the supplier monitors and replenishes stock at the customer’s location. Using real-time data, the vendor optimises inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening supplier-customer collaboration. To manage inventory and ensure smooth warehouse operations within the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system

What will you would be doing?

• Receive & Inspect Goods: Check deliveries against orders.
• Inventory Management: Track stock levels and movements using software.
• Stock Organization: Unpack, label, and store items correctly.
• Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.
• Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers and logistics for timely deliveries.
• Stock Monitoring: Conduct stock counts and fix discrepancies.
• Health & Safety: Follow warehouse safety rules.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the space clean and organized.

Skills and Qualifications you will need to have….

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory management background.
   

Technical Skills:

• Inventory management software proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Warehouse operations knowledge.
• Forklift certification (preferred).
   

Soft Skills:

• Organized and able to manage time well.
• Good communication and teamwork
• Physically fit to handle stock movement.

This role requires physical stamina, organisation, and attention to detail to ensure efficient inventory flow in a mine storeroom.
