Production Supervisor

WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

• Supervise the daily operations of lathes, milling machines, machining centers, and other production equipment.
• Coordinate, evaluate, train, lead, and manage production personnel, assigning tasks and work shifts.
• Ensure production schedules are met on time and according to plan by monitoring production targets.
• Verify that processes are carried out in accordance with drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Prioritize and enforce compliance with industrial safety regulations, use of PPE, and safe operating procedures.
• Identify and correct deviations in processes, quality, and productivity.
• Support the resolution of technical machining issues and process adjustments.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery.
• Train and evaluate personnel in technical skills, safety, and quality topics.
• Prepare reports on production, efficiency, scrap, rework, on-time deliveries, and downtime.
• Promote continuous improvement in processes, organization, and housekeeping (5S).
• Coordinate the availability of supplies and raw materials and manage work-in-process inventory.
• Carefully review documentation for new equipment.
• Define priorities and maintain good time management and organization.
• Collaborate with Human Resources in the recruitment process, coordinate interviews and training activities.

WHAT IS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE?

Education:

• Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–3 years as a supervisor or production leader in machining.

Technical Knowledge:

• Operation and supervision of lathes, milling machines, and machining centers (CNC and/or conventional).
• Blueprint reading and interpretation of tolerances.
• Measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, dial indicator, etc.).
• Quality systems and industrial safety standards.
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools such as Ishikawa (fishbone diagram) and 5 Whys.
