Mission: The Treasury Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting treasury operations across the NASA region (North & South America) within the Regional Center of Excellence (RCoE). This position ensures efficient bank management, cash and liquidity and currency management and compliance with internal controls, and seamless coordination with Group Treasury in Sweden. The role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in corporate treasury or financial operations.
- Familiarity with electronic banking platforms (e.g., Nordea, Citi) and Excel.
- Strong understanding of cash management, foreign exchange, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
Your responsibilities will be:
Bank management
• Bank account management, meaning local support in opening/closing of bank accounts, KYC and bank agreements
• Monitoring the use of non-core banks to make sure companies are complying with bank strategy
• Managing User rights to core bank (Treasury) and selected banks (Locally)
• Other compliance topics as netting agreements and if any cash pooling, also cash pool agreements
• Automation - add accounts and group companies to H2H connectivity. Identify new bank services that can make improvements for our processes
Cash and liquidity management
• Close cooperation with the Business Controller and monitoring and understanding the short-term forecasting and liquidity management
• Close cooperation with Treasury to manage the excess cash whenever possible (deposits to Treasury for example)
• Monthly cash and bank review
• Expert in the region to find good solutions for cash concentration (cash pooling, deposits, other solutions)
• Expert in the region regarding regulations when it comes to netting, payments etc.
Currency management
• To investigate the possibility to centralize currency management to RCoE and to make sure that you have the right tool to be able to support in internal and external exchanges
Other
• Part of the Treasury Regional network
• Projects (RFI, to implement selected banks, to close non-core banks, etc)
• Bank relationships/regular meetings regarding support, services etc.
- Experience in a multinational or shared services environment.
- Exposure to treasury operations across multiple legal entities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
