Your Mission:
The Credit Assistant is responsible for assisting the Credit Manager in the collection of accounts and reviewing and approving credit applications.
Responsibilities:
- Contact customers for payments on delinquent accounts
- Process credit card payments
- Investigate and reconcile disputed accounts and advise the appropriate person
- Release orders that are on credit hold when appropriate
- Recommend to Credit Manager customers who should be on credit hold or are over the credit limit
- Forward invoices that need to be written off to the Business Controller for approval
- Prepare adjustments and open Service Now tickets
- Work with customers and assist with payment plans
- Responsible for maintaining internal and external communication regarding delinquent accounts and write-offs
- Communicate positively with customers in regards to their payments or other inquiries.
- Maintain liaison requesting information and/or supporting documentation from internal and external personnel
- Communicate any changes to internal and external personnel
Your profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related fields desired
- 5 years of experience in this position, with similar activities.
- Credit Management Training, Basic Accounting skills, Interpersonal skills, Communication skills, Time management skills, Organizational skills
- CCP Designation is an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and related computer skills.
