Join Our Team as an End User Computing Specialist at Epiroc!

 

Work Type: Onsite

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy SW packages and advise application owners on their needs, best practices and internal rules and processes.
  • Create and apply policies to manage the end-user computers and software equipment.
  • Automate IT troubleshooting procedures, configuration changes, and user settings.
  • Analyze computer and SW data, create reports.
  • Develop procedures to enable computer self-service auto-deployment and user profile migration.
  • Coordinate EUC product deployment and utilization within defined geographic region.
  • Create and maintain related documentation.
  • Provide training to the EUS teams.
  • Provide advanced technical support for the client software and hardware.
  • Analyze, test and recommend the certified end point standards (laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, barcode scanners, and other accessories and peripherals) and coordinate with Global IT Purchasing team in alignment to the internal policies.
  • Collaborate closely with the Desktop Management team to streamline the End User Support activities and processes. 
  • Process all relevant support tickets within the team's delivery scope according to quality and performance measures.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to the team's delivery scope, supported applications, infrastructure and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Regional End User Support Manager and the Regional IT Manager on implementing automation and efficiency improvements within the regional IT support scope and contribute to continuous improvement to enhance business value.
  • Participate in projects as assigned.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Knowledge/Education:

  • University degree or equivalent competence gained through experience.
  • Advanced English, spoken & written.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage. Experience in project management.
  • Solid (+5Y) experience in end-user support roles, ideally as an End User Support Specialist within Epiroc or a similar enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to provide 2nd level desk-side and remote support for Windows-based endpoints, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Experience supporting local business applications and participating in IT-related projects or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Epiroc's ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), asset management practices, and documentation standards.
  • Exposure to automation or scripting tasks (e.g., PowerShell) and a willingness to grow into more advanced EUC tooling and processes.
  • Good orientation in usage of Altiris platform or similar.
  • Ability to collaborate across regional and global teams, with a customer-focused and improvement-oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of ITIL process and terminology, ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
  • Experience in project management.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Windows operating system expertise - deep knowledge of OS architecture and administration. Advanced knowledge of MacOS, Android and iOS is advantageous.
  • Understanding and usage of GPOs, WMI, AD, Entra ID.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell (incl. PSADT) scripting for automating application deployments, including silent installs, registry edits, and basic error handling.
  • Application packaging (MSI, MSIX), deployment automation and related troubleshooting, where specific knowledge of Altiris or Tanium is an edge.
  • Remote administration and troubleshooting - event viewer, performance monitoring, Sysinternals tools.
  • SQL database concepts and querying, data analysis and reporting.
  • Awareness of data structure of ServiceNow, especially related to Epiroc CMDB. Reports and views building.
  • Windows Server OS administration basics.
