As our Master Technician, you'll provide advanced technical expertise, lead maintenance activities, mentor technicians and ensure our equipment is maintained to the highest standards. What you'll do

  • Lead, supervise and support a team of Service Technicians and Assistants, fostering a safe, productive and high-performance work environment.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics and fault-finding on Epiroc drilling and mining equipment.
  • Oversee and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, including major component replacements and repairs.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to technicians and apprentices while supporting competency development across the team.
  • Support maintenance planning activities by identifying required parts, tools and resources and providing technical input on work scopes and interventions.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with OEM standards, quality requirements and agreed turnaround targets.
  • Maintain accurate job cards, inspection reports, maintenance records and technical feedback to support equipment reliability and future planning.
  • Drive compliance with mine and Epiroc SHEQ standards, lead safety discussions, participate in incident investigations and exercise Stop Work Authority when required.

 

What you'll bring

  • Qualified Artisan with a relevant trade certification.
  • OEM equipment-specific training.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Technician in a mining or heavy equipment environment.
  • Previous experience in a senior Master or Supervisory role will be advantageous
  • Strong technical expertise on mining equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using computer systems and maintenance management software.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work shifts in a 24/7 operation.
