Your mission as a Project Planner

Are you passionate about keeping heavy mining fleets running at their best, with the planning discipline to bring complex rebuild projects in on time and on budget? Epiroc is looking for a Project Planner to manage and oversee rebuild projects and major maintenance interventions for our fleet of drill rigs. This is a vital role in driving operational efficiency and ensuring equipment reliability, where your planning expertise keeps every intervention smooth, on schedule, and within budget.

 

What you'll do:

  • Develop detailed plans and schedules for drill rig rebuilds and major maintenance interventions, ensuring all resources and materials are ready before project start
  • Monitor every project phase, tracking progress against plan and resolving deviations or issues promptly
  • Supervise the team executing rebuilds and interventions, including overseeing the shift team essential to daily operations
  • Track project budgets, manage expenditure, and adjust as needed to maintain budgetary compliance
  • Ensure all rebuild activity meets quality standards and safety regulations, working closely with quality assurance and safety teams
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with management, maintenance teams, and suppliers, providing regular updates and aligning on objectives
  • Identify risks in the rebuild process and develop mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports, while driving continuous improvement to reduce downtime and optimise rig reliability

 

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years in project management or equipment maintenance oversight, ideally within the mining or heavy equipment industry
  • Previous maintenance planning or scheduling experience within the mining or heavy equipment industry
  • A Trade qualification would be advantageous
  • A Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field
  • Proven proficiency in planning, scheduling, and budget management across complex, multi-phase projects
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams
