Mission of the role:
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing team performance, and ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies. This role acts as a link between management and employees, providing guidance, support, and leadership.
Your Mission:
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage and supervise Service Technicians and Assistants, oversee leave schedules, and maintain discipline, motivation, and a positive work culture.
- Safety Management: Conduct daily safety meetings, incident debriefs, PTOs, and enforce compliance with PPE, mine standards, and safety protocols.
- Operational Oversight: Direct breakdown and repair activities on Epiroc machinery, ensuring adherence to proper maintenance and repair procedures.
- Compliance & Reporting: Record all work in logbooks, prepare reports on breakdowns, spares usage, and maintenance, and ensure operational files remain compliant.
- Training & Development: Identify skill gaps, coordinate training, mentor team members, and ensure technicians are licensed and trained on new equipment and support tools.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with the Pit Superintendent, manage machine damages, and maintain machine availability above 85% to meet contractual obligations.
- Administration & Planning: Maintain accurate records, control costs within parameters, optimize equipment life, and perform additional duties as required under “The Epiroc Way.”
Your Profile:
- Grade 12
- Applicable Trade Test (e.g., Hydraulic Fitter, Electrician, or Millwright).
- Strong technical expertise with Epiroc machinery.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in computer systems and maintenance management software.
- Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.
