VICE PRESIDENT CONTROLLING & FINANCE – Tools Division

Our Tools Division is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Controlling and Finance to play a critical role in steering the business forward. In this global leadership position, you will be a strategic partner to management—delivering insightful, focused, and accurate reporting that strengthens commercial competence and financial control across the organization.
About the Role
As Vice President of Controlling and Finance, you will ensure that there is quality-assured and timely financial and non-financial data that are used to understand where the division is in relation to targets set, that deviations are analyzed and corrective actions proactively put in place.
In this role, you will be an integral member of the divisional management team, participate in business development activities, execute on efficiency, and actively contribute to the development of our business in line with our strategy for growth. You will hold the responsibility of fostering an organization where innovative and efficient people thrive and flourish.
You will be a member of several legal and operational boards in the Tools Division’s administrative entities, as well as part of the Epiroc Financial Council and Supply Chain Board. In this capacity, you will collaborate and contribute actively to the development of finance and business control practices in the Group.
A unique opportunity comes with the responsibility the Tools Division has in hosting Epiroc’s global Supply Chain organization for the aftermarket. In this role, you will manage directly the Regional Supply Chain Controllers and keep a very close control over the performance of all Distribution Centers (Global and Regional) in Epiroc Group. This role is a key position with a direct reporting line to the President Tools Division, and strong connection to the VP Business Area Controlling – Tools & Attachments and the Group CFO.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure control over the division’s consolidated financial performance and verify that all financial reporting and accounting practices comply with company policies and local regulations.
- Gather and present high-quality financial and business data to support strategic decision-making at all levels of the division.
- Take ownership of working capital management, proactively reduce overdue payments in collaboration with VPs of Marketing and Supply Chain, and establish inventory targets for customer centers, product companies and distribution centers.
- Continuously monitor and analyze business performance, including active participation in review meetings for Product Companies, Customer Centers and Distribution Centers.
- Identify and interpret business trends, highlight potential risks, and ensure that appropriate action plans are developed and implemented.
- Design and deliver tools that provide early warnings of deviations from plans and enable accurate forecasting, helping the management team avoid unexpected outcomes.
- Promote and ensure consistent adherence to The Epiroc Way across all financial and operational activities.
- Lead and contribute to internal audit processes, ensure clean external audits, and take corrective actions when audit remarks are identified in administrative companies.
- Participate in strategic acquisitions by coordinating due diligence, performing valuation models, and managing financial integration and post-acquisition follow-up.
- Build and lead a professional, high-performing team that operates with strong collaboration and team spirit.
Experience and requirements
- Strong background as a customer center, distribution center and/or product company Business Controller with proven track of delivering results, and of developing a successful, well-motivated organization.
- Capability in business process management, and a solid business understanding and interest in not only Finance & Controlling but also other operational business processes.
- Solid knowledge of financial consolidation/reporting systems.
- Experience working in a global organization with multiple factories, distribution centers, and customer markets, including experience from being a manager in a complex international matrix organization and being exposed to corporate risk management.
- University degree in finance and/or business administration or similar, relevant field.
