Specific Areas of Responsibility
You as R&D engineer Electrical will be working in new development projects which to take our products to the next level of performance but also with existing products where we focus on small and effective improvements. Your work covers concept development and realization, handing over to serial production, products maintenance and continually improvement. Internal cross functional contacts are essential as well as external contacts with supplier and others.
The main tasks for the R&D engineer are:
Develop and design electrical systems for underground drilling equipment for new product development, including 24V control system, electrical power system(380V-1000V).
Create and modify control system programs to in line with the development of the control system architecture and solutions.
Test, diagnose, and seek root cause of errors in programs, develop communication interfaces and GUI enhancements based on service and end users requirements.
Create prerequisites for New Products Development and Continuous Products Improvement and ensure the design activities are correlated with the technology and modularization strategy and functional growth road map.
Work efficiently in cooperation with the Product Owners to handling FSM forum properly for products in the field.
Actively develop competence on legal requirements, understanding of customer, technology and application, via customer visiting and training courses.
Support in development of efficient global processes, methods and tools.
Occasional travel for business development and customer visit.
Hiring Qualification
Education/ Experience:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, higher degree is preferred.
3 years’ work experience of electrical design in heavy machinery field, prefer to mining or drilling machinery experience. 0-3 years’ work experience can be accepted if excellent graduate with master degree in electrical engineering.
Competence requirements:
Strong background in electrical system design with focus on vehicle control systems.
Knowledge and experience of Codesys and other platform of Controller programming.
Knowledge of CANbus technology.
3D/2D design and draft ability for components and system schematics.
Knowledge and experience of BEV development is a plus.
Knowledge and experience of Automation and digitalization development is a plus.
Knowledge of relevant national and international regulations and standards regarding electrics and underground mining equipment is a plus.
Experience and knowledge in construction machinery preferably in mining.
Willing to travel to rough working conditions such as underground mines and construction sites
Good command of English is required or strong ambition to learn.
