Join our dynamic ADS Engineering team within the Equipment & Service business area at Epiroc's Underground Division in Nanjing. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing our product portfolio focused on surface drilling equipment. Position Overview

Your mission in this role is to develop and maintain electrical control systems and components for our range of drill & blast and exploration machines. You will ensure our products meet the rigorous demands of customers and adhere to industry standards, driving both new product developments and enhancements of existing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for surface drilling equipment as part of new product development initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance existing systems to contribute to ongoing product improvement processes.
  • Create specialized electrical designs to fulfill unique customer requirements, supported by thorough calculations and analyses.
  • Develop and manage Bills of Material (BOM), collaborating closely with the purchasing department to ensure accurate product specifications.
  • Produce comprehensive engineering documentation and technical drawings.
  • Select and specify appropriate electrical components ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Engage and coordinate with component and supplier partners, providing recommendations and support for supplier qualification processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system or component issues during manufacturing and field operations.
  • Support technical service teams and customer centers with electrical system expertise to address any field problems.
  • Define and implement test procedures for new and existing electrical systems.
  • Travel occasionally for business development and customer engagement, gaining valuable exposure to operational environments including mine sites.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of electrical design experience in heavy machinery, preferably within the mining or drilling machinery sector.
  • Strong expertise in electrical system design with a focus on vehicle control systems.
  • Proficiency in both 3D and 2D design and drafting for components and system schematics using tools such as AutoCAD and Creo.
  • Familiarity with field bus technologies and wire harness design.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and standards applicable to off-road mobile machinery products.
  • Experience with high voltage control systems and programming controllers is considered advantageous.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral, enabling effective communication across global teams.

Work Environment

This role is based at our Nanjing facility with potential periodic travel required for customer visits and business development activities. You will interact with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, purchasing, technical service, and suppliers, gaining broad exposure to the product lifecycle and market demands.
