Electrical Engineer

Position Objective
Responsible for design and development of electrical systems focusing on power infrastructure, grid connection, and EV charging solutions. Support global R&D and local projects, ensuring compliance with international standards.
Main Accountabilities
- Power Infrastructure System design and integration (LV/MV distribution, substations)
- Grid Connection Engineering (load flow, voltage, short circuit analysis)
- EV Charging system development and integration
- Standards compliance (IEC, UL, CSA)
- Project execution, testing, and commissioning
- Cross-team collaboration (global teams)
- Continuous improvement and optimization
- SHEQ and safety-focused design
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering
3–8 years experience in power systems, grid connection, EV charging, and motor drive systems (including VFD applications)
Familiarity with PLM tools (Teamcenter, Windchill) and project tracking tools (JIRA, Asana)
Key Competencies
- Power systems and grid expertise
- Knowledge of international standards (IEC, UL)
- Experience with ETAP, PSCAD or similar tools
- Strong English and Chinese communication
- Problem solving and teamwork
Motor and VFD Knowledge & Experience
- Strong understanding of electric motor fundamentals (induction and synchronous motors)
- Hands-on experience with VFDs for speed and torque control
- Experience in VFD selection, sizing, and integration in industrial systems, experiences with industrial ventilation systems is a plus
- Knowledge of motor starting methods (DOL, soft starter, VFD)
- Understanding of harmonics and mitigation techniques
- Experience troubleshooting motor and VFD systems
- Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
