About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer at Epiroc, you will be responsible for the end-to-end engineering and integration of power systems crucial for mining equipment electrification. Your work will encompass:

Power Infrastructure System Design and Integration: Designing low and medium voltage distribution networks, substations, and comprehensive power systems to support reliable mining operations.
Grid Connection Engineering: Conducting detailed load flow, voltage stability, short circuit and safety analyses to ensure seamless and safe interconnection with electrical grids.
EV Charging System Development and Integration: Supporting the development and practical application of charging systems tailored for electric mining equipment, advancing sustainable operations.
Standards Compliance: Ensuring all designs adhere to international standards such as IEC, UL, and CSA to maintain global compatibility and safety.
Project Support: Participating throughout project lifecycles by assisting in execution, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to achieve project milestones and quality standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with global R&D teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and harmonize technical solutions across regions.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to optimize designs and processes, enhancing performance, safety, and efficiency.
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ): Championing safe design principles that prioritize the wellbeing of people and the environment.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and brings 3-8 years of practical experience in related fields including power systems, grid connection, LV distribution, motor control and drive systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and/or EV charging systems. Proficiency with PLM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter or Windchill along with project tracking software like JIRA or Asana will enable you to manage complex projects efficiently. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese are essential for effective collaboration across our global teams.
