Hydraulic Engineer

Mission / Position Objectives

This position will work with Hydraulic engineering for PSD related products and projects. You will work in the engineering department in the PSD division and shall together with your colleagues create a dynamic and flexible team. Our mission is to deliver aftermarket products in line with the portfolio planning; there the scope includes everything from increasing the value of the genuine parts concept, via customized solutions, to new developed features and products. This shall be done for all PSD products, which gives another dimension of the skills and experiences that this position require and offer.

The team will consist of all core competencies to be able to run our own agenda with a clear strategy and there the vision is to be self-acting in a couple of years.

Specific tasks and responsibilities

• Support the creation of a culture (our promises) within the department to facilitate our actions to increase customer satisfaction
• Contribute to the development of the engineering department and belonging processes
• Perform a various of different Hydraulic engineer work:

• 1. Act as main bridge window between capital R&D and PSD internal functions
  2. Involving in DN process with capital R&D in each stage, distribute, coordinate all subsequent activities within PSD
  3. PSD DN approval (service kits, overhaul kits, OEM part kits, supplier replacement, , local supplier requests for replacement for aftermarket parts)
  4. Spare parts maintenance in Demo/Team Center
  5. Attend development projects of PSD Products and features, such as technology upgrades and new options
  6. Support strategic purchasing in branding, localization and supplier evaluation process
  7. Support our product managers with the development of customized components and product upgrades, like repowering
  8. Support PSD other internal functions with engineering input
  9. Reserve flexibility to extensive responsibility as a start phase of new dept

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have a background with experience from Hydraulic engineering. You shall be a flexible person with excellent communication and multi-tasking mind, interested in working close to the customer and our sales team within an environment with different tasks and applications.

You show a drive for results which demonstrates commitment and accepts accountability. Have a meticulous approach and a positive attitude towards new ideas. As the role interfaces to the core product development team and other functional organizations within PSD which you act as part of a team and consider the effect of your actions in other domains.

Experience and knowledge requirements

• University degree in Hydraulic engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant experience from engineering similar background
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of English, verbally and in writing is essential
• Well organized and able to operate independently
• Self-starter and ability to take responsibility of the mission is a prerequisite
