Join the Epiroc team in Nanjing as a Hydraulic Engineer within our Equipment & Service Business Area, contributing to the Underground Division. Mission

As a Hydraulic Engineer, your mission is to collaborate closely with engineering teams and PSD-related projects to create an IQ/Local MOL template for the capital division. You will be integral to a flexible team focused on optimizing aftermarket products, delivering substitution and localization options, and providing robust technical support across PSD departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture within the engineering department that prioritizes customer satisfaction through continuous innovation and responsiveness.
  • Participate actively in PSD development projects, either as an engineer or project leader, ensuring timely and effective delivery of technical solutions.
  • Drive the advancement of the R&D department and enhance associated processes for increased productivity and quality.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with CMTEC India on task assignments, providing technical support and project follow-ups to align global efforts.
  • Review and approve Change Notices related to PSD-responsible articles, ensuring all modifications meet quality and performance standards.
  • Systematically identify and assess new hydraulic components from suppliers, determining necessary disassembly into spare parts for optimized inventory management.
  • Engage with suppliers to strategize spare part levels, assemble kits, and incorporate insights from multiple internal stakeholders including R&D, service, and marketing.
  • Develop and implement localization strategies and alternative part solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Design and maintain the IQ/Local MOL template supporting the capital division's operational needs.
  • Provide expert technical support to cross-functional teams:
    • Assist Marketing in designing and managing bills of materials within Teamcenter.
    • Contribute engineering knowledge to Technical Documentation for accurate instruction and manual creation.
    • Support Technical Service through development of service tools and expert guidance.
    • Collaborate with PSD Training to address technical issues and aid in simulator development.
    • Partner with Strategic Purchasing to support parts replacement decisions and supplier assessments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A university degree in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in product development or aftermarket solutions focusing on hydraulic systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mainstream hydraulic components domestically and internationally, with proven ability in identifying suitable alternative solutions.
  • Strong command of both English and Chinese languages.
  • Extensive technical experience with various Epiroc systems enhancing product applications.
  • Proficient in CAD, PRO-E, TEAMCENTER, and similar design and product lifecycle management software.
