Indirect Sourcing Engineer

Responsibilities:
1. Strictly abide by safety production regulations and operating procedures;
2. Master the safety production knowledge required for the position, and implement safety production requirements and standard. Participate in the identification and control of hazard and safety risks;
3. Conducts research, evaluates findings and makes independent decisions on Indirect procurement matters for goods & services, while collaborating closely with internal clients and related departments
4. Obtains written price quotes from Indirect vendors. Compare quotes with the specifications and availability of items, to select the most competitive vendor
5. Develop supplier management strategy to monitor supplier's performance to ensure effective cost and efficient supply
6. Plan and carry out a smooth transition towards supplier relationship and contract management after contract signature to ensure supplier dependability and contract obligations compliance
7. Coordinate all Indirect Sourcing activities to ensure qualified and timely purchasing to ensure continued operations
8. Ensure Vendor Review Process in cross-functional way, including related stakeholders to ensure vendor is delivering perceived value
9. Report to stakeholders exceptions to ensure compliance to Purchasing Policies and Procedures
10. Be PC Nanjing's representative in Holding's Indirect sourcing project and ensure PC Nanjing align with Holding Indirect sourcing initiatives and guidelines
11. Others :
a) Obtains appropriate Indirect Sourcing commodities in a timely manner
b) Interviews Indirect suppliers and evaluates their products and capabilities as a supplier
c) Coordinate compliance with Divisional / Corporate communication guidelines (i.e. stationary, business correspondence, etc.)
d) Assist department with procedural tasks assigned, including cost savings, supplier problem resolution and sourcing;
e) Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management
Education:
University graduate or above, majored in public or business administration, administrative engineering, science, or a related field. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
Experience as Sourcing involving the procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, and services
Minimum 2-years applied experience in a high volume-manufacturing environment buying and sourcing.
Follow high business and personal ethics standard, self-disciplined to perform many assorted and time-sensitive assignments while bringing them to conclusion effectively
Customer oriented and is able to manage complicated relationship
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Able to maintain confidentiality on products, services and processes
Knowledge in relevant safety, health and environment laws, regulations, requirements.
Have corresponding knowledge on dangerous chemicals.(If the position is required)
