This role plays a pivotal role in advancing our remanufacturing capabilities, ensuring the durability, reliability, and efficiency of core mechanical components that power our innovative equipment solutions worldwide.

Mission Overview: As a Material Engineer, you will be responsible for the comprehensive analysis of material failures, development of targeted technical repair schemes, optimization of remanufacturing processes, and stringent quality control. Your expertise will directly impact the stability of factory equipment operations by improving parts longevity, reducing costs, and facilitating cross-departmental collaborations with maintenance, quality, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze failed or worn equipment components to identify root causes of material failure such as wear, corrosion, fatigue, and aging, while evaluating the feasibility of parts remanufacturing.
• Design customized rebuild solutions incorporating material selection, surface repair techniques, heat treatment schedules, and structural optimization to enhance part performance and longevity.
• Optimize the entire remanufacturing workflow—including cleaning, repairing, processing, and testing—to standardize SOPs and bolster production yield and efficiency.
• Provide on-site technical guidance to resolve material and process-related challenges, ensure adherence to technical standards, and correct non-compliant operations.
• Conduct rigorous material performance testing and finished product quality inspections; monitor failure rates post-service and apply iterative improvements to repair methodologies.
• Enhance material utilization strategies to minimize costs, meticulously organize and archive all technical documentation, and produce regular progress and summary reports for management review.
• Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, quality assurance, and procurement to spearhead technical upgrades and cost reduction initiatives in parts remanufacturing.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related disciplines.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in material engineering, parts remanufacturing, or equipment failure analysis; prior experience working onsite in heavy industry or factory environments is preferred.
• Core Skills: In-depth knowledge of common engineering material properties; proficient in rebuild technologies including welding repair, surfacing, heat treatment, and surface coating; skilled in performing material performance testing and interpreting data; competency with Office productivity tools and CAD software.
• Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach, meticulous and disciplined work ethic, excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams, and adaptability to on-site factory work settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of professional certifications in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), welding, or material engineering.
• Experience in remanufacturing core mechanical parts and hydraulic components.
• Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and standards.
