Mechanical Engineer

Mission

The mission for this position is designing the structural components and mechanism of the UMR product line with high-quality requirements to meet the project KPIs, and maintaining the product in serial production to meet the quality, OTD, continuous improvement and cost reduction targets.

Specific Areas of Responsibility

As a mechanical engineer, you should following UMR design guideline and legal and regulatory standards. With collaboration, innovation, commitment spirit, high sense of responsibility to customers and products, you will have following responsibilities:

- Design structural components for UMR products with feasible technical solution

- Design mechanisms for different part of the UMR products

- Create and maintain 3D/2D drawings in the system

- Write design documentation and calculation files

- Create and maintain bill of material for the product and sub-assemblies   

- Select standard hardware components

- Support sourcing in qualifying Suppliers

- Select proper material and specify manufacture process

- Assist production on any mechanical related issues and find solutions

- Assist technical service and customer centers on any field issues

- Participate in/lead new technology development

- Participate in cost reduction and localization work

- Participate in/lead product improvement and upgrading

- Other tasks assigned by Manager

Knowledge / Educational requirements

- Bachelor degree or above in engineering, preferred in the major of Mechanical design、 manufacturing and related majors.

Competence requirements:

- Having experience in the design of large structural components and having experience in the design of drilling rig working devices.

- 3D/2D design and draft ability for components, Creo software skill is preferable.

- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

- Familiar with material selection, familiar with welding, machining, painting, casting and forging process is preferred

- Have successful product innovation experience and obtain excellent feedback from customers or the market is the best

- Knowledge and experience of teamcenter is a plus.

- Good command of English is required or strong ambition to learn.

- Willing to travel to rough working conditions such as underground mines and construction sites

- Advanced user of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…)
