Mechanical Engineer

Position Objective

Design, develop, and integrate mechanical systems for ventilation solutions and infrastructure products within Epiroc Electrification Solutions. The role focuses on system-level design, product development, and cross-disciplinary integration, supporting both global R&D programs and customer-specific projects. Exposure to electrification and renewable energy systems is a strong advantage.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial ventilation systems including fans, ducts, and airflow components.
• Perform engineering calculations such as airflow, pressure drop, and thermal performance.
• Lead mechanical design for infrastructure products and deliver full lifecycle development.
• Integrate mechanical systems with electrical systems and controls.
• Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing.
• Prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support innovation, NPD, and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8+ years of experience in mechanical system design and ventilation systems.
• Experience in system integration across mechanical and electrical domains.
• Experience with electrification or renewable energy systems is a plus.

Key Competencies

• Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics and mechanical system design.
• System-level thinking and integration capability.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, etc.).
• Strong English and Chinese communication skills.
• Problem-solving, teamwork, and execution capability.
