Specific Areas of Responsibility
You as R&D engineer will be working in new development projects which to take our products to the next level of performance but also with existing products where we focus on small and effective improvements. Your work covers concept development and realization, handing over to serial production, products maintenance and continually improvement. Internal cross functional contacts are essential as well as external contacts with supplier and others.
The main tasks for the R&D engineer are:
-Hydraulic system design for new product development projects.
-Analyse hydraulic systems for troubleshooting and optimization for existing products.
-Create and/or modify hydraulic layouts and schematics.
-Create and maintain bill of material for the hydraulic system, sub-systems, and components.
-Participate and take an active role in continuous product improvement process.
-Select standard hydraulic components.
-Support sourcing group in selecting and qualifying suppliers.
-Assist manufacturing in any hydraulic related issues and find solutions.
-Assist technical service and customer centres on related field problems.
-Write and supervise test procedures.
-Support localization efforts, write technical reports; review and analyse hydraulic systems and components against design, quality, and integration requirements.
-Actively develop competence on legal requirements, understanding of customer, technology and application, via customer visiting and training courses.
-Support in development of efficient global processes, methods and tools.
-Occasional travel for business development and customer visit.
Hiring Qualification
Education/ Experience:
-BSc. in Hydraulic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a strong background in hydraulic design and/or hydraulic selection is required.
-3 years’ work experience of hydraulic system development in heavy machinery field, prefer to mining or drilling machinery experience.
Competence requirements:
-Strong background in hydraulic system design.
-3D/2D design and draft ability for components and system schematics.
-Knowledge in hydraulic system simulation and optimization.
-Experience and knowledge in construction machinery preferably in mining.
-Good command in English is required or strong ambition to learn.
-Willing to travel to rough working conditions such as underground mines and construction sites.
-Knowledge in relevant safety, health and environment laws, regulations, requirements.
