We are seeking a strategic communicator with a passion for building bridges between business and public affairs. Epiroc Greater China is seeking a PR Manager covering both Government & Public Affairs to lead government relations, media engagement, and strategic stakeholder management across Greater China. In this pivotal role, you will represent our voice in the market, secure strategic partnerships with government, industry associations and other stakeholders, and ensure Epiroc remains at the forefront of industry transformation.
Key responsibility
1. Government Relations
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with government at all levels.
- Monitor policy and regulatory developments relevant to the company's business, providing timely analysis and risk alerts to senior management
- Coordinate government visits, official receptions, and statistical reporting requirements
2. Government Projects & Subsidy Applications
- Support functional departments in preparation, submission, and follow-up of government project applications and subsidy programs.
- Track application progress and maintain government relationships throughout project implementation
4. Chamber of Commerce & Diplomatic Relations
- Maintain active relationships with major chambers of commerce (e.g., Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, and industry associations
- Coordinate liaison and business activities with foreign embassies and consulates in China
- Represent the company at forums, exhibitions, and government engagement events organized by chambers and associations
5. Investment & Strategic Project Support
- Conduct preliminary research and feasibility studies for potential investment projects in China, including market analysis, policy environment assessment, and competitive landscape evaluation.
- Support government approval processes and compliance matter for the company's potential investment projects in China
- Assist in planning and organizing high-level government visits and related logistics
- Foster government-business partnerships to create a favorable external environment for business development
6. Industry Association & Marketing Communications
- Manage and nurture relationships with key industry associations & design institutes to strengthen Epiroc's industry presence and influence
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics through regular engagement with association networks, industry reports, and expert channels
- Translate industry insights into actionable intelligence for senior leadership, supporting strategic planning and business development decisions
- Represent Epiroc in industry working groups, technical committees, and standard-setting bodies, contributing to policy discussions that shape the sector
- Organize and participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and association events to enhance brand visibility and build relationships with industry peers
- Actively participate in the marketing communication activities to support product launches, brand campaigns, and business initiatives across Greater China and in global market.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in PR, government affairs, or corporate communications.
- Proven experience in government relations at various levels in China.
- Hands-on experience with government project applications, subsidies, and compliance reporting.
- Familiarity with chambers of commerce (e.g., Swedish Chamber, EU Chamber) and foreign diplomatic missions.
- Background in mining, construction machinery, or industrial sectors is a strong plus.
Knowledge / Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in PR, Communications, Political Science, Business, or related field.
- Solid understanding of China’s policy-making and regulatory environment.
- Strong knowledge of industry associations and B2B marketing communications.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
- Proficient in MS Office.
